Singer/Musician Pheroze Releases Two Free Songs to Fans

New York, NY (PRWEB) June 24, 2008 -- Singer/Musician Pheroze releases two free songs to fans from his debut solo album, "Driftwood".

New York-based singer/musician Pheroze is offering two free songs for download, "Daydreams" and "Killer Whales", off of his debut album "Driftwood". Daydreams is an instant arena anthem with infectiously hummable melodies and lush choruses that denote hopeful awe. "Killer Whales" is a hauntingly catchy percussive journey with tribal yells that bewitch the listener. Both songs are available free of charge on Pheroze.com (http://www.pheroze.com) and myspace.com/pheroze.

Currently in the midst of playing select promotional shows in the New York area, Pheroze's next acclaimed live performance will take place at the renowned NYC club The Cutting Room (co-owned by Chris Noth of "Sex and the City" and "Law and Order" fame) on July 2, 2008.

Released earlier this year, "Driftwood" is receiving rave reviews from media, with The Big Takeover magazine likening Pheroze's vocal performance to "...an Eastern-transposed Ozzy Osbourne-Cornell-Ian Anderson-Freddie Mercury-Bruce Dickinson-Frank Zappa banshee..."

With over ten years under his belt as a professional musician and songwriter, Pheroze has taken the production helm on "Driftwood". With the exception of drums, Pheroze played all instruments on the record, including exploring his Indian roots by incorporating the esraj, sarod, and gopichand. Mixing was done under the masterful ear of Nick Cohen (Redman, Ill Nino, Brian McKnight, 40 Below Summer).

"Driftwood" is available at iTunes.com and pheroze.com (http://www.pheroze.com). For more information, promotional requests, or to set up an interview, please contact press @ pheroze.com.
